The Story Behind the Business

My Parents Were Sold
the Wrong Policy.

My parents trusted an insurance agent. They did everything right — they showed up to the meeting, they listened, they asked questions. They signed up for a life insurance policy that was supposed to build wealth for their retirement and give them security for the rest of their lives.

What they didn't know was that the policy was designed to make the agent rich.

High death benefit. Minimum cash value. Projections that looked impressive in the meeting. Premiums that went in year after year. By the time they realized something was wrong — that the cash value wasn't growing anything like what they'd been shown — it was far too late to do much about it.

The agent made a lot of money. My parents ended up with nothing. That is why I do this work.

That experience branded itself into me. I couldn't undo what happened to them. But I could make sure it didn't happen to anyone else — at least anyone who found their way to me.

I became obsessed with understanding how life insurance products are actually designed. Not the sales pitch version. The real version — how the math works, where the fees are, how the carrier makes money, what a commission-driven policy looks like vs. a client-driven policy. I learned it all. And then I built a practice around doing the opposite of what was done to my parents.
